Staff receive first dose of vaccine Feb. 3

Tallmadge City Schools in partnership with Akron Children’s Hospital vaccinated 291 district employees including teachers, support staff, administrators, and coaches Feb. 3 in the Tallmadge High School gymnasium.
After receiving the vaccine, teacher Joni Giles patiently waits fifteen minutes before she can leave the gymnasium. “I felt so extremely happy that I was half-protected from this virus and I can't’ wait to get the next one,” Giles said. Staff members will receive their second dose Feb. 24.
