Q: How has your senior year felt?

A: Crazy and exciting all at once. This year has definitely been a blast, and I’m so sad it’s coming to an end.

Q: How long have you been cheering?

A: I have been cheering for 10 years.

Q: Do you do any other sports or clubs? If so, what?

A: I am a part of a career program called Athletic Health Care and Fitness at Kent Roosevelt. I also dance at AADBK dance studio.

Q: Are you excited for the competition?

A: Yes!

Q: Are you nervous?

A: Of course, but I know we will do great.

Q: Do you feel prepared?

A:  Yep, our team is great and we’ve prepared so much!

Q: How do you feel about Tallmadge participating in the competition?

A: It’s a good opportunity to get us out there and show off our skills.

Q:What advice would you give to upcoming cheerleaders?

A: If you really want it , put time and practice into it. Cheering can be one of the best experiences.

Q:Why do you cheer?

A: I enjoy my teams. I’ve made many friends, and it’s something I feel good doing.

Q:Do you see yourself cheering in college?

A: Even though I love cheer I don’t see myself doing it in college, instead I want to pursue dance.

Q:What motivates you to cheer?

A: Seeing all of the young girls looking up to us as role models. A goal of mine has always been to become a varsity cheerleader.

Q:Is there anything else you would like me to know?

A: I’ve made so many friends and enjoyed every moment of it.

Q: How has your senior year felt?

A: It is just weird thinking I am a senior, but I have felt overwhelmed with the amount of support I get from my team and coaches

Q :How long have you been cheering?

A: I have been cheering since 3rd grade. Minus 7th since there was no cheer team then, which makes it 9 years!

Q: Do you do any other sports or clubs? If so, what?

A: Yes I am in the marching band, jazz band, and show choir pit. I also dance outside of school

Q: Are you excited for the competition?

A: Yes, very!

Q: Are you nervous?

A: A little bit, but I think everyone is. I think we are just scared of letting our coaches down

Q: Do you feel prepared?

A:After yesterday, yes completely. We marked our routine on the floor and we feel really good

Q: How do you feel about Tallmadge participating in the competition?

A: I think it is a very good thing for us to do. Tallmadge has been doing this competition since I was in high school. I think it is a good way to get us and show other schools in our area how we do cheerleading.

Q: What advice would you give to upcoming cheerleaders?

A: It is okay to make mistakes. Don’t be afraid to put ideas out there. Always do what is best for the team. Have respect for everyone. Cheering is fun and competition can be fun you just have to make it fun.

Q: Why do you cheer?

A: I cheer because I love being able to cheer on our sports teams throughout the school. It is super fun to just be a part of a sisterhood in high school. The amount of laughs and inside jokes we have is something you can beat. Cheering is so fun and wearing that uniform gives all of us a sense of confidence and pride.

Q: Do you see yourself cheering in college?

A: Yes! I plan on trying out for the Youngstown State cheer team.

Q: What motivates you to cheer?

A: Four  of our coaches are teachers at the elementary school. They tell us all the time that the girls that cheer in the youth program look up to us so much. So thinking about that it tells us to lift our heads a little higher and smile a little bigger. We mean a lot to those little girls.

Q: Is there anything else you would like me to know?

A: We are a sisterhood and nothing can break the bond we have with our coaches or each other!
