The 2023 football season has come to an end. The Blue Devils finished .500 with a record of 5-5. With injuries riddling the depth chart and a new quarterback at the helm, the season was bound to have some bumps in the road, but in the end, the Dev’s would fight to come out on top.
Interview With Senior Keagan Gilbride
Q: What will you miss most about football?
A: I’ll miss getting to hang out with everyone on the team.
Q: Do you think the team took advantage of everything that they could’ve this season?
A: We had some opportunities we didn’t take advantage of but ultimately I’m proud of our team and what we accomplished this season.
Q: Which practice field was your favorite to practice on?
A: My favorite practice field was the pit because of how muddy it got.

Q: Who will you miss most on the football team?
A: I will miss Max Goodchild the most because we were always goofing off.
Q: What was your favorite practice?
A: The best practice was our last practice as seniors when we tackled the bag one last time.
Q: Do you plan to go to the next level?
A: I do not plan on going to the next level. I will be going into the military.

Q: Who was your favorite coach?
A: My favorite coach was Coach Staszak. He’s funny and a good guy.
Q: What do you plan to do after high school?
A: I plan to go into trade school.
Q: What are your thoughts on the 5-5 record after starting 1-4?
A: I think it’s good for starting 1-4 and a great way to end my last year of football.
