The Tallmadge Blue Devils beat Ellet 49-0 Aug. 30 in Bagnoli Stadium. The game started off slow with the Devils going up 7-0 in the first quarter. The game took off when senior Ryan Loveless connected with senior Noah Robinson for a 40-yard completion making the game 14-0. Tallmadge ended the first half 28-0. Junior Sonny Cuva led the offense with two rushing touchdowns. Junior Caleb Kendrick and senior Pat Marcu led the defense both with a pick 6 each. Senior JD Kanatzar and junior Lucas Sferra helped pile it on in the second half to make the final a 49-0 Tallmadge victory. Tallmadge prepares to take on a difficult Green team this Friday in their week 3 matchup.
“We played good and the offense showed what it could really do. I’m excited for the rest of our season,” senior Captain Roman Rinaldi said.
Senior Brady Headrick added, “I really wish I was out there but I’m glad they’re figuring it out without me.” Headrick is currently out with an injured back.
