Junior Gavin Warren earned his first 300 at the Rootstown Rovers bowling tournament on Saturday January 15. Warren felt that there was a lot of pressure, and he was not sure if he would get the 300.

“I didn’t think I was gonna get it. Honestly, there was too much pressure and a lot of people watching, but it felt amazing,” Warren said. “ I felt very emotional because of how hard I worked for it.”

In his other two games he scored a 246 and a 235, and ended the day with a 781 series. He received first place medals for high game of the day and high series of the day.

Warren has been bowling for two years and practices four hours a week.

Warren said, “I had a birthday party the year before freshman year and I just decided to start bowling because it was fun.”
