A Community Rally will be held Nov. 3 in the Tallmadge High School student parking lot for students, staff, families, and community members. Food trucks will be open from 6-9 p.m. with the bonfire being lit at 7 p.m.

“It’s new and exciting. I think it is a good way to bring the community together before the big game,” sophomore Leila Staszak said.

The THS band and cheerleaders will perform, and speeches will be given pertaining to the important sporting events Tallmadge has coming up.

“It is a great time for our football team, and we should all celebrate our success,” junior Braydon Sturm said.

The THS football team will be competing in the second round of the playoffs in their game versus Ursuline Nov. 4.

Junior Joey Naiman is being sent off to State for Cross Country, where he will run in the State Meet in Columbus Nov. 5.  Middle school Cross Country seventh grader Donevan Noah will also be celebrated for winning the OHSAA middle school State meet.

Additionally, two Tallmadge Youth Football teams will be recognized as both the B team and C team prepare to compete in their championship games Nov. 5.

The Rally will feature three food trucks: Eddie’s Cheesesteaks, Stix, and Funny Cakes.  Food available for purchase will be cheesesteaks, fries, corn dogs, fried cheese, lemonade, and funnel cakes and toppings.   Free bags of chips and drinks will also be available.

“I’m hyped for the funnel cakes,” sophomore Roman Rinaldi said.

Pep Club Advisor Julie Headrick holds a big part in the rebirth of this exciting function.

Headrick said, “It is a great opportunity for the community to come together.”
